The Klüh Foundation
With its Klüh Foundation for the Promotion of Innovation in Science and Research, the Klüh Group has since 1986 contributed to researching diseases that have not been researched for lack of funding because of the low number of cases.

In 2011, the Klüh foundation celebrated its 25th birthday. On this occasion, it paid out an amount of EUR 100,000.00. The recipients were two physicians from Düsseldorf: Professor Dr. Hans-Jakob Steiger and PD Dr. med. Daniel Hänggi of the Neurosurgical Clinic of the Heinrich Heine University of Düsseldorf. Tribute paid to Klüh foundation
The laudatory speech during the award presentation was given by Eva Luise Köhler, wife of the former German Bundespräsident [Federal President], as the patron of the ACHSE (Allianz Chronischer Seltener Krankheiten [Alliance of Rare Chronic Diseases]) of which the projects have been supported by the KLÜH foundation in recent years. She highlighted the importance of foundations for medical research and, in particular, acknowledged the role of the KLÜH foundation.
Josef Klüh had founded the “KLÜH foundation for the promotion of innovation in science and research” on the occasion of the company’s 75th anniversary. To date, the foundation has paid out EUR 578,000.00.
